President Biden and the First Lady Honor Fallen Heroes at the National Peace Officers’ Memorial – 10/16/21

by R. Mitchell

President Biden and Dr. Jill, Ph.D. honored fallen heroes at the National Peace Officers’ Memorial held at the Capitol on Saturday.

Biden’s participation is controversial as highly-visible members of his party have widely supported the “defund the police” movement and the empowerment of criminals leading to the nations’ current wave of violent crime. The FBI recently released statistics showing that violent crime is up 30% from the last administration to the current one.

“Being a cop today is harder than it’s ever been,” Biden said. “2020 was the deadliest year for law enforcement on record.”

Biden also, in hyper-partisan fashion, used the somber event to again politicize the events at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
